Favorite Foods

Audrey’s been trying new foods, and she’s loved them all! She didn’t care for the jar of pears, but I puréed some fresh pears for her earlier this week and she LOVED them! I also made her some sweet potatoes, which I knew she already loves, and have a good amount prepared in the freezer. I’ve been having so much fun preparing her foods, and she seems to like them better than store-bought baby foods. So far she’s had squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, bananas, and pears along with her cereals. I love introducing Audrey to new foods, and she seems to like each new food even better than the last. I’ve also introduced her to teething wafers flavored in banana and pumpkin, and they seem to keep her occupied.

Audrey had her routine doctor’s appointment on Tuesday! She weighs exactly 17 pounds. Vaccines are never fun for anyone, but she has become pretty good about calming down within five minutes. I’m so thankful to have such a healthy baby! The only concern I’ve had is her refusal to sleep before 3 a.m., and waking up every two hours throughout the night. The only solution to this problem is to wait it out, and hope she grows out of it soon; you can’t always put babies on a schedule, and sometimes you have no choice but to follow theirs.
