With Easter around the corner, us moms all have one thing in common: We want it to be special for our children. It can be stressful for all parents, but it’s an added pressure when it’s the first Easter you will be celebrating with your baby. I’ve had lots of fun shopping around for things to put in Audrey’s basket, and managed to pack everything into it today. It took longer than expected to get it all arranged, but I’m happy with the way it turned out; I’m feeling much more prepared for the upcoming holiday.
Being involved in Facebook “mom groups” has brought to my attention that many new moms are struggling with what to put in their baby’s Easter basket. I personally didn’t have this struggle, because it’s hard for me to walk out of a store without buying anything for Audrey. One would say she’s a tad spoiled. (Just a tad). Rather than buying everything in the same day, I’d pick up gifts for her basket on different occasions. If I was in a store and saw something I thought she’d like, I picked it up to put in her basket. One method I used that you may find helpful is determining what your child already has (which is why I was personally trying to stay away from the toy isle). I limited the amount of toys I purchased since her toy box(es) are overflowing. Of course it depends on the age of your child, but you can’t go wrong with things like sidewalk chalk and some bubbles.
As you can see, I was stuck on elephants. Her basket includes a stuffed elephant, slippers, a pillow and blanket, an outfit, snacks, a snack cup, a Strawberry Shortcake movie, bunny ears, and some fishing bath toys. I hope this gives you an idea if you’ve been struggling! I’ve put a quick list together of some more ideas for your baby’s basket below.
